Biniax 2 Mobile Game Review
The original Biniax game is open source, and was originally released for the 8-bit Sinclair ZX Spectrum. This version is also available for Windows and Linux. Unlike the other versions, the mobile version is available in many screen resolutions. Since all graphical elements are generated by code, the game can support any screen resolution. The game was also ported to the Windows Mobile platform. The biniax mobile version is available in a duo pack with two different games.
There are three modes to play in Biniax 2. The first is a single-player game, while the other is a multiplayer experience. In either mode, the player moves a cursor block around the grid. He tries to destroy two-colored blocks by moving into them. Blocks can only be cleared if one of the two colors match, and the cursor changes colour as he clears a block. Each block in Biniax 2 is worth clearing, but it will only be possible to clear it if one of the colors is the same. Eventually, more blocks push down the screen, and the game ends when the player is pushed off the screen.
The game comes in a small, bright, glossy box. Its colours are true to the game's colours. There's also a manual included, which looks like a small CD insert. The cart itself is an injection-molded curved lip, but it doesn't have the Fuji logo on the back. Compared to the first game, Biniax 2 is much better in terms of quality. There's also a multiplayer mode for multiplayer gamers.
